First Birthday Girl Gift Ideas

I can't believe that one week today it'll be Ophelia's 1st birthday. That year has flown by. I've been rather disorganised in getting her gifts as it's proving a bit of a headache. Whilst I thought having two girls was extremely handy for hand me downs what I hadn't anticipated for, was how difficult it would be to come up with new ideas for gifts for Ophelia. I want her to be able to have her own things when it comes to birthday's or christmas, something that her sister has never had. This was much more difficult than I thought. After much searching, here's what i've found.

1) Baby Walker with Alphabet Blocks £56 - The Toy Centre

Ophelia is attempting to toddle around so this is ideal to help her. The current baby walker we have is plastic and quite unsightly. I like the fact this also comes with stacking blocks which she can bash around (another favourite thing of hers). I adore wooden toys as they tend to look nicer, last longer and can then be a family heirloom

2) T-shirt and Tutu Set £29 - Mamas and Papas

As i've already said Ophelia gets lots of hand me downs of clothes from her sister. I love shopping in Mamas and Papas for clothes for special occasions. We have quite a few parties coming up, so this set will be lovely for those.

Ophelia is having a pink and gold themed tea party on her birthday and I think this dress will be a perfect match. It's beautiful. I do think Eva will want one too as she's obsessed with anything pink and anything glittery

I'm very keen for Ophelia to feel like she has toys of her own and I think this train set is adorable.

Ophelia is very curious about books. We have a few from this range and she loves reading them and touching them with us. Her room is safari and Elephant themed so I want her to have this in her collection. Plus they are also my favourite animal.

In the words of Game of Thrones, winter is coming. Well it's already here. I absolutely love this hat and Ophelia will look super cute in it.

Seeing as it's her first birthday I'd love to get her a keepsake. She already has a nice moneybox but I managed to find this amazing tankard. We love Winnie the Pooh. It's quite pricey but it is something that can be treasured for ever. There's also writing on the back.

You may know that we are going to Disneyworld next year and this bag will be a great addition. If you're not aware of these, they come with reins so that you can allow your little one to toddle around safely.

That concludes my list. Have you seen anything that would be good, after all Christmas is coming and i'll need to find more things!!!!

  26. It's very hard to find gifts for a toddler isn't it? I still don't know what to buy my 21 months old girl. She will more than likely get a lot of clothes and a few small toys.
